- Take off all doors and drawers.
- Washing to remove dirt, grease all kitchen cabinets so the new finish coat will adhere properly.
- Protect, masking floor, windows, furniture, everything that is not going to be painted from any over spray.
- Sanding to knock down ridges in the surface caused by differences in paint thickness.
- Priming spot prime bare wood to seal the bare surface so new paint will bond properly.
- Clean up, to be straightened up daily and clean up in full upon job completion.
Exterior Paint
Cleaning: Power washing as preparation for painting is a step we do to remove dirt and debris.
- Scraping and Priming: Peeling areas on home will be scraped back to a firm edge, then sanded down and primed with Peel Bond.
- Caulking: All previously caulked gaps that have split or cracked will be re-caulked.
- Application method for painting: The application method for painting siding or shingles includes spraying to evenly move the paint onto the surface, followed by back-roll where needed to work the coating into the wood, and completing with a second coat.
- Landscape: Will protect landscaping throughout the project. Please let us know ahead of time which plants are precious and we will be extra careful. We ask that you please have the trees/bushes trimmed prior to the start of our work so that access to the building is unimpeded. We typically need 6-12 inches of space between the bushes/trees and any surfaces we are painting/staining. If there is an area you do not want to trim, please let us know ahead of time so we can discuss a workaround plan.
